Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Cotton Fit Review

Annyong!! Etude House released their newest bb cream I think few months ago.And it is the Precious Mineral Cotton Fit bb cream. I got this a month before it was released here in the Philippines through my current favorite online shop kkochipida. And I am really happy to share to you my review for precious mineral cotton fit bb cream.

Product Description:

  • Fine powder makes the skin silky and fluffy all day.
  • Long lasting

My Thoughts:

The packaging is a lot similar to the all-day strong and bright fit bb cream of etude house, the only difference I guess is the color of the tube. The first thing that disappointed me was the pump. If you've been using other etude house bb cream, I'm sure you know why. If you are not careful, a huge amount of bb cream will be pumped out the tube and goes everywhere. Kinda messy for me. Because it is "cotton"fit, I thought that it is a light-weight texture kinda thing. After I tried it the a bit texture is similar to all day strong bb cream and bright fit bb cream. But it provides a powdery matte finish without messing up with the brightening effect. So it gives you a nice healthy glow.

I am in shade W13 or natural beige. It blends perfectly in my natural skin color.

This bb cream has amazing coverage which is medium to full. And I often skip concealer whenever I use this. It can cover up skin imperfections like dark spots and redness. It contains spf 30 PA ++ for sun protection. This bb cream last for about 5-7 hours in my skin. Oil control is not that bad, but for me it controls oil better than the bright fit bb cream. It is not greasy which is good for those with oily type of skin. And I didn't experience any allergic reactions or break outs. The price is php 798 which I think is affordable. So I will recommend this for those who are looking for bb cream with powdery matte finish and for those with oily and sensitive skin. But for those with dry skin, I suggest that you add a little amount of moisturizer so it will not accentuate fine lines or dry patches. And I will rate this product 4/5. ^.^

  5. Nice review! It's good to know that it gives medium to full coverage. I've tried other BB creams that don't give much coverage so I decided to stick to using liquid foundations. I've also tried Etude House BB Magic Cream but there were limited shades available so it looked rather pinkish and a bit lighter on me. Hopefully this one has a shade for medium/warm skin tones. :)

    1. Hi! :) Unfortunately this bb cream is not sweat proof. Though, a primer can help to make it last a little longer.

    1. Hi Kean, I think ok lang naman to for boys. I just apply this bb cream after my usual skin care routine. You can set naman your face with powder after you apply bb cream and oil blotting paper for touch ups. I hope you find it helpful. ^.^

  12. Wow thanks for the review and the acne rating! I have the same kind of skin as you. Really appreciate the details. I am an NC20 in MAC, I am shade 21 in Missha. Shade #2 in Faceshop aura cc cream. Would I be a shade W13 in this or would that be too dark?

  13. I highly recommend this BB cream! I have acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin too but luckily I did not experience break outs while using it. Plus, being paraben-free is such a major factor! I snub my liquid foundation for this =)

  14. Thanks for this review. it’s really helpful. You could give The Face Shop “Face it” Magic Cover BB Cream a try. I’ve been using it for three years now. Anyway, I am thinking of purchasing this BB crea since it received such a positive review. Thank you!!

  15. Hi! I have acne prone/sensitive/combination skin. More than year ago, I used Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream (All Day Strong, Sheer Silky Skin), it was my first time to use a BB Cream of any type. After a few months of using it daily, it gave me a terrible break-out :( I got pimples all over my face, although it isn't completely terrible that my derma wouldn't call it acne. She calls it a 'mild break-out', I think. About half a year has passed and I still have the pimple marks all over my face but the break-out has stopped (other than the occasional pimple) thanks to maintenance facial wash and meds, and treatment from my derma. I guess my point is, considering that I am now traumatized with my experience with the Etude House BB Cream, is this BB Cream really that good that you would still recommend it to me? Has it been good for your face so far? No break-outs? Not even a little?

I mean, I really love the dewy, porcelain look that the BB Cream gave me. I felt like a doll! But I'm just really scared of what comes afterwards. Reading your post makes me want to buy the product (haha) but I'm not sure >.<

    So. Help?

    1. I also experienced some breakouts with Etude house Precious Mineral All day strong bb cream. I only used this cotton fit bb cream for I think 3-4x and I didn't experienced any zits. Actually this bb cream "may" cause some breakouts due to some comedogenic ingredients. I'll recommend the holika holika aqua petite jelly bb cream or the laneige snow bb soothing cushion. :)

    2. Hi Ysabl,

Maybe you had some zits because of your skin type? I’m not sure though.
